Webinar I The use of Artificial Intelligence and Pressuremeters for Optimising Geotechnical Design
4th December
Spain (CET): 03:00 PM - Chile (CLST): 11:00 AM
In this webinar, we will discuss how Pressuremeter tests, despite being widely used for many years, have often faced challenges in result interpretation. However, with the advancement of fast computers and accessible finite element software, these challenges can now be addressed effectively. By modeling the test and matching the field curve with the finite element model, it is possible to determine soil parameters, allowing for soil characterization and constitutive model calibration in a single process.
While this procedure may seem straightforward, manual calibration can be time-consuming and tedious. To streamline this process, we will introduce a novel geotechnical software, DAARWIN, which uses Artificial Intelligence to achieve a precise match quickly. The calibrated constitutive model can then be used to predict various geotechnical problems.
During the session, three case studies will be presented to validate the methodology, showcasing the precision of model predictions against real-world measurements. This webinar will demonstrate how these tools can significantly improve accuracy and efficiency in geotechnical modeling and design.
The webinar will include:
-
Introduction to geotechnical uncertainty and how DAARWIN can overcome it
-
Why use Pressuremeters
-
Three case studies
-
Conclusions and recommendations
-
Q&A session
