Myanmar landslide
Disturbing images of a landslide engulfing a Jade mine in Myanmar, this being the worst landslide of 2020 to date. It seems that the landslide originated from the weight of the mud caused by the moonson rain. We have explained in different posts how rain can affect soil’s stability and how important it is to understand and control it to, at least, avoid the loss of humans’ life.
Our heart goes with the families of the deceased.
