International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Today we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science presenting our geotechnical engineer, Laia Gelonch Roca. She is a Geotechnical Engineering grad with an MEng in Mining and Geotechnical Engineering. We welcomed her in 2018 to portray the geotechnical engineering tasks in our company, such as definition and interpretation of data analysis obtained from our platform, DAARWIN, creation of the 2D and 3D models and delivery of the technical reports. So, as you can see, she takes a significant part on the proper developing of our company, in her words:

“I am happy to be a geotechnical engineer, but, while things have definitely improved, and there are a lot more women in the construction field now, there is still a long way to go, especially as you look up to the top of the ladder. A remarkable thing about being part of SAALG is that, as I take part on the transformation of the construction industry, I take part too on “paving” the way for the next scientific and engineering women.”
